The City of St. John’s has re-opened the Residential Re-Leaf Program whereby residents can apply for a $200 tree voucher toward the purchase of a tree to plant on their property.

The program aims to expand the region’s urban forest by encouraging property owners to plant trees. Previous programs saw hundreds of trees planted on homeowner properties in 2016, 2019 and 2021.

Applications are being accepted via email pwadmin@stjohns.ca or in person at City Hall.

The deadline is 4 p.m. on Friday, June 24 with applicants then going into a draw.
