A man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing a woman to death in Sydney’s west on Monday evening.
The 58-year-old attended Wetherill Park police station about 9pm on Monday to speak with police. He was subsequently arrested.
Officers were then sent to a home on Christie Street in Prairiewood, where the body of a 62-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds.
The woman is yet to be formally identified, but police believe she is known to the man.
A crime scene was established and the vehicle the man drove to the police station was seized.
