M25 traffic recap as vehicle fire causes lane closures and stationary traffic

A vehicle fire has temporarily held traffic on the M25 clockwise after Clacket Lane Services. The fire service has prevented traffic from moving as they tend to the scene and deal with the fire burning in a refuge area J5 to J6 near Oxted.

The incident was first reported by Inrix, the traffic data company, at 3:51pm. Two lanes have been closed. We will bring you updates as and when we receive them via our dedicated live blog below.

National Highways have estimates that “normal traffic conditions are expected between 4:30pm and 4:45pm”. There are currently delays of 30 minutes.
