Girl, 17, reportedly raped on north Kent train between Eltham and Dartford

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a teenager was reportedly raped on a train. British Transport Police (BTP) said it happened on a service travelling between Eltham and Dartford.

The girl, who is 17, was allegedly raped in one of the train’s toilet cubicles. It is said to have taken place just after 2.30pm on Friday, May 20.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Officers say they are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with information to assist their investigation. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2200052185.
